Thing 23-
* Some of the easiest tools to use were Generator and Flickr, both now favorites.
* I am using these for sharing with the family.
* I was surprised how much I enjoyed the tutorial. I found myself bragging about the program to strangers. Often these people were not librarians but, event coordinators, friends or relatives.
* Lets try to keep it as a self-paced tutorial. Offer more tutorials or a chance to present a program using these skills.
* Yes, keep them coming. I enjoyed the process and the program.I wish I had more than dial up access at home I could play even more.

Thing 5 Discover Flickr
I created a free account on Flickr. Yes,I uploaded photos of Italy and Phoenix. I created a private group, a public group, and added several to this blog. Look over to the right.
Thing 6 More Flicker
I had fun. I created a trading card of The Cat in the Hat along with Thing One.
Thing 7 Blog about Technology
To blog you need to have something important to say and believe someone cares enough to read your bloggings. I find it hard to blog about small items that aren't important.
But, I also understand why the teens love to blog. As teens become independent and see the "Big World" through their own eyes they need to tell someone about it. Teens also need to tell the world they exist. A great tool for Teens.

Thing 8 Make Life really simple With RSS and a Newsreader
I set up a blogline account and added a lot of RSS feeds. All added to my blog.
I just wish I had time to read them all each day. Librarians never get the time to read. I know the public thinks we sit around and read all day.

Thing 9 Finding Feeds
I found lots of RSS feeds.I looked at all the available options and then played with Feedster, Topix.net and Technorati. But, I was most impressed with the type and number of RSS feeds available.
Thing 10: Play around with Image Generators
I found this one fun and posted several of them on my blog. See the yellow Sterling Library ticket and the VW with the Playaway message on the back window. I also created some very silly ones with our dear President along with his messages to his supporters in the background.
I also created a CD cover of Sophie giving my husband's head a bath.
